Always Failure Before Succes

They say when you overcome failures, you stand upright, stay strong, and move on for the better. They say you learn from your mistakes. And that mistakes are not there for you to be guilty about, but to learn from it and to avoid it in the near future.

If mistakes are what we need to learn from, then why do we get scorned and criticised for making one? If mistakes help us become better people, why are we punished or yelled at for it?
