An Ordinary Lunch On A Monday
An old man was spotted at McDonald's with his two grandchildren. He looked casual in a lightly checkered shirt and denim jeans. The grandchildren, a boy and a girl, were still wearing their school uniforms. They were having two kids' meals.
Grandson fetched a saucer of sauce and walked towards his sister.
Grandson: This is not chilli, I promise you.
Grandaughter: It isssss.
Grandad: Okay, finish your food, and you can buy ice cream.
Grandaughter: I don't want the corn.
Both siblings went to the ice cream counter and placed their orders. A McFlurry for Grandson and a vanilla cone for Grandaughter. As they returned to their table, Grandaughter beamed with delight. Her lips slightly parted, revealing her upper teeth.
Grandad: Take a photo! Show it to your Mama. Say you're enjoying your ice cream. Hold up your ice cream!
Grandad laughed.
It is clear that one can experience tremendous joy without getting ice cream.
