Favorite Shots from 4 Film Cameras
I added new pages and thought it would be a good idea to create an introductory post.
The first manual focus, SLR film camera I bought was the Pentax Spotmatic. The seller had kindly provided some guidance on how to use it. After I developed the first roll, I grew more drawn to the film camera.
I then got myself a point-and-shoot: Nikon L35AF. It was effortless to use but a little on the heavy side. Since I was going to carry that much weight, I ended up using the Pentax after all.
In 2016, I purchased the mirrorless Fujifilm XT-10 and hadn’t used film for some time. Three years later, in 2019, I returned to shooting film and bought two new film cameras: an Olympus XA and a Minolta X-700. I have since sold the Olympus XA because the shutter wasn’t working well, and I wasn’t keen on going through the hassle of getting it repaired. The Minolta X-700, by contrast, is a keeper for me.
