Wait For Me, Mommy!

It was difficult to leave home for work today. My husband was in the shower and I was running late. My daughter woke up and wanted to come with me when I was about to step out the main door. She wouldn’t want to stay indoors. I had to carry her several times into the bedroom and asked her to wait for her Daddy. The last time I carried her into our bedroom, I ran out and quickly closed the door and locked the main gate. I could hear her screaming for me.

“Wait, Mommy! Wait for me! Wait for me, Mommy…”

It broke my heart so much to hear that. Her screams trailed along the corridor. It pains me so much. When I was on the train, I looked into the CCTV recordings and it broke my heart a little more. I video-called my husband to talk to her. It was such a huge relief to see that she had simmered down by then and already put on a happy face.
